SPOFR Online Training

South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue is now developing online training through our Web site designed to provide refresher instruction in basic skills as home study courses. Here you will find links to "MIMS" and "NRP" training on the FEMA Web site. Available soon will be three revised annual refresher courses on this Web site. In addition there are links to the online Fire Prevention and Life Safety Education workshops prepared by the SPOFR Public Education Team. I will post additional basic skills refresher courses online throughout the year.

	NFA Online Courses Click on the NFA Online icon at the left to view the courses currently available. A National Fire Academy Certificate of Completion will be awarded for successful completion.
	IS-100.a Introduction to Incident Command System ICS-100 ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
	IS-200.a ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents ICS 200 is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.
	IS-700.a National Incident Management System (NIMS) This course introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents.
	IS-800.b National Response Framework, An Introduction (NRF) This course introduces participants to the concepts and principles of the National Response Framework.
