SOUTH PEND OREILLE FIRE AND RESCUE

Firefighter Larry Eldridge is one of our members at Diamond Lake Station 31. Larry has been with the department since January 1, 2004 and was earned the Firefighter of the Year award in 2006.  Larry is one of our most regular responders and enjoys the camaraderie that comes with being a volunteer firefighter. Larry is always looking for an opportunity to learn something new. He has been very active in our wildland fire crews and has been to many large project fires over the past few years. Larry completed his Engine Boss qualifications for a wildland firefighter. This past weekend at our annual awards dinner Larry was also awarded the Training Excellence award.

Firefighter Larry Eldridge grew up in Spokane.  After  service in the Navy and attending the University of Washington, he and his family settled in Oregon.  After forty years away Larry now lives on Diamond Lake with his understanding and loving wife Nancy.
